David Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., was a towering figure in the world of science and spirituality. His rise to global popularity came in the advent of his groundbreaking work involving kinesiology and the calibration of the levels of consciousness. With a background as one of the top clinical psychiatrists in the country, Dr. Hawkins was no stranger to the scientific method and seeing life through the lens of rationality and logic. However, from a very early age he experienced what can only be described as the transcendent reality of the Self that is the Source and Center of all things.

It was through the pressure-cooker of a major existential crisis that Dr. Hawkins broke through the barrier that divides the two domains of the ego-self and the higher Self. It was a shocking experience that resulted in a dedication to the relief of human suffering by all the means available – science, philosophy, spirituality, neurochemistry, medicine, psychoanalysis, humor, psychiatry, teaching, and healing. The greatest modality of all, however, was given as a gift, and it is this understanding that is capable of healing the very basis of human suffering.

By grace, it is shared with the world with the hope that it will be the catalyst that dissolves some of the sources of human pain and suffering.

This endeavor is dedicated to being a servant of the Lord and therefore, of all mankind. It is with gratitude that the gift that was given is shared….

The Eye Of The I is a tour de force that honors both hemispheres of the brain. Not only does it meticulously define, describe, and map out the basics of the spiritual process, but also explains how to transcend the ego and directly experience the “trans-egoic” states of consciousness, where separation dissolves into direct union with God.
