The Eye of the I

…From Which Nothing Is Hidden

David Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., was a towering figure in the world of science and spirituality. His rise to global popularity came in the advent of his groundbreaking work involving kinesiology and the calibration of the levels of consciousness. With a background as one of the top clinical psychiatrists in the country, Dr. Hawkins was no stranger to the scientific method and seeing life through the lens of rationality and logic. However, from a very early age he experienced what can only be described as the transcendent reality of the Self that is the Source and Center of all things.

It was through the pressure-cooker of a major existential crisis that Dr. Hawkins broke through the barrier that divides the two domains of the ego-self and the higher Self. After becoming firmly established on higher ground, one could say, “holy ground,” he shifted gears and became a prolific author of books that are able to communicate and impart this world-altering, ego-dissolving, experience to his readership.

The Eye Of The I is more than just a great book, it has an “X-factor” for dialing us into the very Presence of God by raising our level of consciousness while we read it. Part of this is due to the masterful way that it “removes the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence,” and thus reveals Who we truly Are.

Perhaps the best way to describe The Eye Of The I is to simply sum it up as a Gift. Dr. Hawkins lived his life as a perpetual offering of sacred service, extending what he received to all that would have it. In his opening Dedication to The Eye Of The I, he states:

The Eye Of The I is a tour de force that honors both hemispheres of the brain. Not only does it meticulously define, describe, and map out the basics of the spiritual process, but also explains how to transcend the ego and directly experience the “trans-egoic” states of consciousness, where separation dissolves into direct union with God. What makes it even more valuable is that such teaching is given from the perspective of one who already arrived at the destination.

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, this book will be a helpful guide on the journey to the Place that you never left.

A brief summary of such a book does no justice to what awaits you when you immerse yourself in its pages. So we will conclude with what is stated in the Preface:

Come and join our excursion into this amazing book! Together, we will deepen our understanding, shed our limitations, and laugh our way into the precious Presence of God’s open arms.

In excelsis Deo!
